Job Summary

Community Health Systems (CHS) is seeking an experienced Social Media Manager to join our dynamic marketing and communications team. This role is responsible for building brand awareness, increasing positive sentiment, and engaging stakeholders across multiple platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter (X), and YouTube.

As a strategic storyteller and digital marketer, you’ll help strengthen CHS’s reputation and foster meaningful relationships with patients, employees, prospective hires, business partners, and the communities we serve.

This position can be staffed in a hybrid model (Franklin, TN headquarters + remote) or fully remote.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a comprehensive social media content calendar highlighting organizational stories, health tips, and timely news.

  • Create engaging posts for CHS channels and provide a monthly library of ready-to-use content for affiliated hospitals.

  • Collaborate with leadership teams to develop executive social media content.

  • Monitor platforms daily: respond to comments, engage stakeholders, and identify trending opportunities.

  • Implement UTM tracking and analytics dashboards to measure performance and optimize engagement.

  • Provide training and guidance for hospital marketing teams on social best practices.

  • Partner with digital teams to develop paid campaigns supporting patient acquisition, retention, and growth strategies.

  • Stay current on healthcare topics, platform updates, and algorithm changes.

  • Ensure all projects and campaigns meet deadlines and deliver measurable results.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of social media experience (healthcare preferred).

  • Advanced knowledge of social media strategy, analytics, and reporting tools.

  • Strong writing, communication, and project management skills.

  • Proficiency in Hootsuite and Google Data Studio (preferred).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field required.

  • Experience with video, animation, and multimedia content creation is a plus.
