Role Overview
We are seeking a Social Media Manager to drive RACER’s fast-growing digital presence and bring our voice to life across platforms. Reporting to the Vice President of Social Media & Digital Marketing, you will oversee daily content creation, publishing, fan engagement, analytics, and campaign execution across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, YouTube, and emerging channels.
This is a remote position with opportunities for on-site event coverage at major motorsport events.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Publishing

Create and publish daily content (posts, reels, stories, shorts, graphics, live coverage).

Adapt news, features, podcasts, and videos into social-first storytelling formats.

Collaborate with editorial and sales teams to deliver high-quality, on-brand content.

Maintain and execute content calendars for race coverage, driver updates, and industry news.
Community Engagement

Monitor social channels and respond to comments, fostering fan interaction.

Build relationships with drivers, teams, and industry figures to amplify reach.

Spot and leverage cultural and motorsport-related trends to increase visibility.
Analytics & Reporting

Track KPIs (engagement, reach, impressions, video views, follower growth).

Provide regular performance reports and refine strategies based on insights.

Monitor competitor activity and industry best practices.
Campaigns & Growth

Support sponsorship and partner activations with creative content.

Collaborate on paid social campaigns and audience growth initiatives.

Contribute to innovative social series, branded campaigns, and fan engagement projects.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership

Coordinate integrated campaigns across RACER.COM, RACER Magazine, RACER Network, and RACER+.

Partner with editorial, production, sales, and creative teams for cohesive campaigns.

Work closely with two Social Media Coordinators, overseeing workflows, calendars, and deliverables.
Event Coverage

Provide live, on-site or remote coverage of major motorsport events.

Capture behind-the-scenes access, real-time updates, and compelling storytelling.
Qualifications

3–5 years of professional social media management experience (sports, media, or entertainment preferred).

Strong knowledge of motorsports and fan culture.

Proven ability to create high-performing content across multiple platforms.

Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills aligned with RACER’s editorial voice.

Proficiency with publishing tools, analytics, and creative software (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut).

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Flexible schedule with willingness to cover live events, evenings, and weekends.
