Overview

Join the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) as a Social Media Video Specialist and help shape the visual identity of one of the world’s most recognized financial institutions. As part of the Corporate Affairs and Marketing team, you will support LSEG’s Digital and Securities Markets portfolio—specifically London Stock Exchange plc and our Digital Markets Infrastructure—by creating high-impact video content for social channels.

This is a six-month contract role with the potential to convert to a permanent opportunity, depending on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Production

  • Film, edit, and publish video content for LSE plc’s social platforms, including Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and X (formerly Twitter)

  • Develop short-form videos, Reels, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Stories, and static imagery

  • Capture live content at in-person events, ceremonies, and speaking engagements

Social Media Strategy & Engagement

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (social, brand, marketing, and business) to build a compelling social content strategy

  • Grow and engage LSE plc’s online communities with consistent, relevant content

  • Support executive visibility by producing social-first content for leadership at key events

Analytics & Insights

  • Monitor, track, and report on content performance using analytics tools

  • Recommend optimizations based on audience insights, engagement rates, and platform trends

Live Event Coverage

  • Capture behind-the-scenes content during key LSEG events, including market ceremonies and industry gatherings

  • Be available for early morning or evening coverage as required

Brand Governance

  • Ensure all content adheres to LSEG’s brand standards, social media policy, and tone of voice

  • Mitigate reputational, political, or regulatory risk by following strict content approval processes

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Partner with external communications, marketing, and events teams to amplify key moments across sport, culture, and industry initiatives

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in social media content creation, ideally in B2B, tech, or corporate environments

  • Proven skills in video editing, content production, and visual storytelling for social platforms

  • Hands-on experience with Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and X, including video-first strategies

  • Knowledge of live-streaming tools and live event social content capture

  • Proficiency in content management and scheduling tools

  • Strong writing, communication, and time-management skills

  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment

  • Self-starter with a high level of creativity, initiative, and adaptability

  • Understanding of brand, reputation, and corporate messaging nuances on social media
