About the Job
At VanAire, our Engineering and Technology team thrives on innovation and collaboration. We are seeking a Software Developer to join our dynamic team in Gladstone, Michigan.
This role will involve supporting our custom software solutions while also contributing to the development of new applications. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with strong verbal and written communication skills, a sharp eye for detail, a problem-solving mindset, and a passion for working in a team-oriented environment. They should also be able to work independently and deliver results in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:
-
Utilize development tools and follow standards with technologies such as Visual Studio, ASP.NET Core, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and C#
-
Design, develop, and test new web-based applications
-
Enhance existing systems by adding new features and functionality
-
Test and validate new features and configurations before deployment
-
Maintain and troubleshoot existing software by identifying and correcting defects
-
Integrate software systems to improve operational efficiency, including ERP, CRM, and CAD tools
-
Develop automation processes for product design
-
Support and develop CAD tools, particularly DriveWorks and SolidWorks
-
Coordinate problem-solving efforts across departments and external vendors; provide status updates and escalate support requests as needed
What We’re Looking For:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred, or 4+ years of software development experience

Proficiency in C#, .NET, and .NET Core development preferred

Experience building Web APIs with .NET Core preferred

Ability to self-manage in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities

Strong writing, documentation, and technical communication skills

Excellent problem-solving abilities
