Software Engineer II Job – Responsibilities and Role Overview
As a Software Engineer II, you’ll design and build new product features that enhance the FACTS Student Information System (SIS). You’ll collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and other engineers to deliver scalable, reliable solutions while mentoring junior developers and championing best practices.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement new product features that align with user and business requirements.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
  • Review peer code and provide constructive feedback.
  • Mentor junior developers and promote technical excellence.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and adapt to evolving priorities.
  • Continuously expand your technical expertise and stay current with new technologies.

 

Software Engineer II Job – Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years developing enterprise web applications using C#, ASP.NET Core, Angular, TypeScript, SQL Server, and RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and Azure Cloud Services (preferred).
  • Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools and enthusiasm for AI integration in SDLC.
  • Strong understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with Entity Framework and various testing methodologies (unit, integration, e2e).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
