About the Role:
In this role, you’ll build and optimize AI-driven infrastructure, APIs, and backend systems supporting Mindbloom’s digital platform. You’ll collaborate with product, design, and AI teams to deliver intelligent, reliable, and scalable solutions that enhance client experiences and accelerate developer productivity. Every feature you ship will help Mindbloom reach more clients with life-changing therapy tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop backend infrastructure to support AI-powered features and automation.
• Build and maintain APIs for Mindbloom’s mobile and web platforms.
• Optimize backend performance and ensure seamless, reliable user experiences.
• Improve developer velocity with enhanced CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to design and deliver impactful, scalable features.
• Maintain high standards in code quality, testing, and observability.

Example Projects:

• AI Art Experience: Create APIs that let clients edit and order physical products from their AI-generated art.
• Streamlined Fulfillment: Ensure full tracking of medication orders with under 1% error rate.
• Infrastructure Excellence: Optimize deployment pipelines and upgrade system environments.
• Developer Velocity Enhancements: Implement AI-assisted workflows to increase engineering efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong proficiency in Python (Django preferred) and familiarity with JavaScript.
• Experience with AWS (ECS preferred) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
• Knowledge of Postgres and relational database management.
• Proven track record of building scalable, maintainable backend systems.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
