Job Responsibilities:
- Modify and enhance existing databases and database management systems.
- Develop and implement logical and physical database descriptions, specifying database identifiers for management systems or directing others in coding descriptions.
- Collaborate with project teams to coordinate database development, ensuring alignment with project scope and limitations.
- Review project requests, assess user needs, and estimate time and costs required to complete the project.
Required Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
- Fundamental understanding of the software development lifecycle, including business/systems analysis, requirements gathering, functional specification authoring, development, testing, and deployment.
- Basic troubleshooting skills with the ability to implement necessary system changes to resolve issues.
- General knowledge of computer hardware and software.
- Familiarity with computer development software related to systems, such as SQL, Visual Basic, and similar technologies.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in developing accessible features within a Wearable Companion App in a platform team.
- Expertise in expanding testing framework capabilities and preventing accessibility regression.
- Contributions to improving design systems with new components and API designs.
- Proficiency in writing comprehensive unit and integration tests for design components.
- Experience in adding new accessibility (AX) features across applications, including text motion and support for varying text sizes.
- Proven contributions to GitHub or open-source projects.
- Background in working with large-scale organizations.
- Ability to lead feature development and work autonomously in project decision-making.
