Role Overview:
We are seeking a Software Engineer II to contribute to the development of cutting-edge spectroscopy instruments. This role combines hands-on system architecture, software development, and cross-functional collaboration to support new product development. You will work closely with engineers and scientists to deliver innovative optical solutions that advance health, safety, and environmental applications.
Key Responsibilities:

Contribute to system architecture, integrating subsystems and supporting high-level frameworks and low-level designs.

Participate in hands-on development, testing, and piloting of new products.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical, optomechanical, and data analysis experts.

Design and conduct experiments, analyze quantitative and qualitative data, and prepare technical reports.

Ensure software and system solutions align with broader business and technical goals.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.

4+ years of professional experience (or 2+ years with a Master’s degree).

Strong knowledge of C++ fundamentals.

Basic scripting experience with Python or MATLAB for automation and data analysis.

Familiarity with electrical circuits and microcontrollers.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.

Salary range: $113,305 – $124,178 per year (base pay may vary by location and experience).
