Ford Motor Company is seeking innovative Software Engineers to join our Ford Pro team, focused on commercial and fleet solutions. Key Responsibilities – Software Engineer:

Develop high-quality, reusable code to create dynamic front-end applications across multiple platforms.

Enhance testing frameworks and improve test automation using Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices.
-
Build and integrate cloud-native services leveraging modern technologies and Ford enterprise systems.
-
Monitor and evaluate application performance, reliability, and scalability.
-
Collaborate with multi-skilled teams on commercial and fleet software solutions.
-
Apply eXtreme Programming (XP) practices, including pair and mob programming.
-
Engage with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, and stakeholders to deliver robust solutions.
Required Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
-
3+ years of front-end development experience.
-
3+ years with object-oriented languages such as Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Kotlin, Python, or C#.
-
Hands-on experience with relational and non-relational databases.
-
1+ years developing and deploying on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
-
Proven expertise in building web UIs with React.js, Angular, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Terraform) and end-to-end test automation frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Design principles.

Experience with Spring/Spring Boot and RESTful web services.

Exposure to machine learning, mathematical modeling, or data analysis.

In-depth React.js experience (Webpack, Enzyme, Redux, Flux) and front-end languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

Strong fundamentals in data modeling, performance testing, and collaborative coding practices.

Location & Work Model:

Remote for Southeast Michigan residents unless within 50 miles of Dearborn, MI (on-site presence up to 4 days/week).

Grade levels 6–8 (dependent on experience).
