Duties and Responsibilities:

Design and standardize application development processes using SAFe Agile and DevSecOps methodologies to ensure consistency, efficiency, and high-quality software development across projects.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures for application development, guiding teams to adhere to best practices.
Establish a DevSecOps platform that streamlines development, security, and operations, ensuring flexibility across various cloud environments.
Utilize container technologies in application development to enhance scalability and efficiency.
Lead and support Agile development efforts by establishing a secure software factory.
Create and implement an automated testing strategy, incorporating security, functional, and unit testing using automated tools.
Drive innovation in software development by advocating for new technologies, methodologies, and approaches to enhance organizational capabilities and efficiency.
Design, develop, document, test, and debug software applications and systems, providing logical and mathematical solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Completed a degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) from an accredited institution.
Majored or currently majoring in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) field.
Experience with Agile Methodology and Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Deployment (CD) tools and practices.
Proficiency in C# or Java programming languages.
Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in DevSecOps development, ideally closer to 5 years.
Experience with development in a DevSecOps environment.
Experience with SAFe Agile methodology.
Familiarity with Atlassian tools, including JIRA.
Experience in microservice development.
Some experience in automated testing.

Preferred Qualifications:

Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.
Active DoD Secret Clearance (adjudicated within the last 5 years).
Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or Agile development processes.
Proficiency in C# and .NET Framework.
Experience with microservice development and communication protocols like REST or AsyncAPI.
Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and software design patterns.
Experience with relational databases (especially PostgreSQL) and tools like Liquibase.
Familiarity with scripting languages such as YAML, Python, PowerShell, or Curl.
Experience with Agile Software Development and DevOps practices.
Familiarity with version control tools like Git and GitHub.
Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence).
Familiarity with containers in Docker and/or Kubernetes.
Experience with Typescript, React, and backend technologies like Java/.Net, helm/Kubernetes deployment, and CI/CD pipelines with cyber and quality gates.
Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
Strong team collaboration skills.
