Role Overview

The New York software team at Gecko Robotics is dedicated to building the infrastructure, data pipelines, and applications that transform raw sensor data from our robots into verified, actionable insights for our customers. Our goal is to minimize the time and labor required to deliver this data, enabling Gecko to scale efficiently as a business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement features that automate the validation of ultrasonic signal data and the classification of damage mechanisms like cracking, corrosion, and pitting.

  • Collaborate with users who validate and interpret ultrasonic signal data from our robots.

  • Work alongside Machine Learning engineers to enhance our ML and signal processing algorithms, reducing the time and effort required for data validation.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Expertise in writing clean, maintainable code for production environments.

  • Experience designing secure, user-friendly APIs for intuitive data interaction and application development.

  • Ability to develop full-stack features and solve end-to-end business problems.

  • Real-world experience in building, maintaining, and evolving data infrastructure.

  • A strong desire to make a significant impact at a fast-moving startup and be a key contributor on a new, growing project.

  • Exceptional communication skills, with a commitment to continuous feedback and improvement.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience working with signal processing algorithms.

  • Understanding of data pipelines and data processing infrastructure.

Compensation Range: $175K – $195K
