Position Summary
CHS is excited to offer an opportunity within our Information Technology division for a Software Engineer Intern during Summer 2025! As part of our software development team, you’ll contribute to impactful projects while gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative and innovative environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team are essential.
Responsibilities

Participate in Agile product teams, attending various scrum events.

Develop comprehensive software functionality, including user interfaces, back-end services, middleware components, and unit tests.

Follow best practices for application development using CI/CD pipelines, Agile storyboards, and Git-based repositories.

Design and develop database components such as queries and utilize object-relational mapping (ORM) tools.

Assist in developing user stories, writing acceptance criteria, and providing story estimations.

Support troubleshooting, research, and technical analysis activities.

Create and maintain documentation, including knowledge base articles.

Contribute to quality assurance by assisting in test case development and test automation efforts.

Uphold and promote a strong safety culture by adhering to all safety guidelines and identifying and addressing potential hazards.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Currently enrolled in a relevant Computer Science program.

Basic experience with object-oriented programming languages.

Exposure to modern JavaScript frameworks for front-end development.

Foundational understanding of modern software development life cycles.

Basic knowledge of relational database principles and structures.

Demonstrated passion for technology through coursework, hobbies, internships, or projects.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Single Page Applications (SPA) and Angular.

Familiarity with the .NET Core framework.

Hands-on experience working with or developing secure web services.
