Position Summary
Lantern is seeking a Software Engineer to join our healthcare technology team. In this role, you will design and build secure, scalable cloud-based applications that improve the healthcare journey for patients and providers. You’ll work across the stack—building backend services in .NET, intuitive frontends in React or Angular, and secure APIs—all while collaborating with product, clinical, and compliance teams in a regulated environment.
Responsibilities

Develop secure backend solutions in .NET (C#) aligned with HIPAA standards.

Design and maintain RESTful APIs for integrations with apps and third-party services.

Build responsive, user-friendly frontends using React or Angular.

Leverage Azure or AWS for scalable, cloud-native solutions.

Maintain CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and quality.

Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and technical discussions.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).

3+ years experience in software development with Python or .NET Core (C#), TypeScript, Angular/React.

Strong expertise in REST APIs and relational databases (SQL Server preferred).

Experience with unit testing frameworks (xUnit, Jest, Moq).

Knowledge of OAuth 2.0 authentication and authorization.

Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices.
Preferred Skills

Certifications in cloud or software development.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep).

Knowledge of healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7, X12) and HIPAA compliance.
