The Role:
As a Ground Software Engineer, you will collaborate with a high-performing team to build scalable, efficient systems that optimize satellite tasking operations. Your work will involve developing and refining scheduling algorithms, creating robust technical solutions, and interfacing closely with other teams to ensure the reliability and success of satellite missions focused on environmental monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize satellite tasking software

• Create scheduling algorithms and optimization solutions

• Build and maintain scalable systems for satellite data processing

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, efficient software

• Support system bug tracking and anomaly resolution

• Contribute to cloud infrastructure operations, particularly on AWS

• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines

• Work in a hybrid model based in San Francisco

Essential Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in Python

• Hands-on experience with Docker and AWS cloud infrastructure

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines

• Excellent software engineering practices with a focus on efficiency and scalability

• Experience with scheduling algorithms or optimization-based solutions

• Proven track record in bug tracking and problem-solving

• Previous involvement in environmental monitoring projects, especially methane tracking, highly desirable

• Passion for the space sector, with strong initiative and problem-solving mindset

• Prior experience working in satellite or related technical industries

• Ability to work on-site in San Francisco on a hybrid schedule
