  • Tech Software Engineering Intern (Remote) – Myriad Genetics

    Myriad Genetics, a leader in genetic testing and precision medicine, is seeking remote Tech Software Engineering Interns to contribute to their mission of advancing health and well-being.

    About Myriad Genetics:

    Myriad develops genetic tests that empower individuals and healthcare providers with vital genetic insights. Their technology stack includes robotics, automation, scientific computing, data pipelines, bioinformatics, data visualization, and more.

    About the Role:

    This is a remote work-from-home internship with the option of flex-work at a Myriad location. Interns will be embedded within software or research teams, working on projects that range from production code to early R&D genomics products.

    Responsibilities:

    • Work on projects related to genomics, software automation, site reliability engineering, data and analytics, bioinformatics, or business operations.
    • Collaborate with engineers or scientists on projects.
    • Contribute to shipping patient-facing production code or working on early R&D genomics products.

    Qualifications:

    • Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics program (preference for those with at least 2 years completed).
    • Experience with an object-oriented programming language (Python, Java).
    • Experience with databases (SQL or Oracle) is a plus.
    • Experience with AWS is a plus.
    • Relevant non-traditional software experience (personal projects, coding bootcamps, research).
    • Available to work a minimum of 40 hours/week for a summer or fall internship (approximately 3 months).
    • Good communication skills.
    • No genomic or biology background is required.
