Responsibilities

  • Evaluate food products to ensure consistent adherence to quality standards.

  • Conduct daily walk-throughs to ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulations.

  • Uphold Troon’s Food and Beverage policies.

  • Ensure the proper handling and storage of all food items in accordance with sanitation and health regulations.

  • Maintain high standards of personal hygiene.

  • Supervise daily food production operations.

  • Consistently exceed customer expectations.

  • Implement and support all course policies and programs as communicated by management.

  • Take on special projects as assigned by the Executive Chef.

  • Assume responsibility for the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of fine dining experience.

  • Proven supervisory and leadership skills.

  • Dependability and reliability are essential.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • ServSafe Certification is preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, and scooping for long periods (6-8 hours).

  • Regularly required to reach with arms and hands.

  • Occasionally required to lift up to 30 lbs.

  • Use of sight, wrist movement, and coordination for serving meals, operating food service equipment, and cleaning.

  • Specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

  • Work environment with moderate to loud noise levels.

  • Ability to work extended hours during golf and holiday seasons, including weekends and holidays.
