Main Duties

  • Lead by example, working alongside the Executive Chef to deliver exceptional dining experiences by overseeing the back of house (BOH) operations, managing staffing, food production, accommodating special requests, dietary restrictions, and ensuring allergy procedures are followed.

  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards set by Soho House and local/regional authorities.

  • Foster professional relationships with the team, providing educational opportunities to develop skills and knowledge across various areas of the business.

  • Support “Cook House” educational initiatives, including training demos, staff development trips, and on-the-job training, to ensure safe work practices and adherence to proper processes, especially in hazardous situations.

  • Drive kitchen efficiency and maintain the highest food quality standards, implementing processes that ensure effective and smooth kitchen operations.

  • Manage staff schedules, payroll, kitchen setup/breakdown, food production, and prep, ensuring uniform compliance and disciplinary procedures are followed when necessary.

  • Promote teamwork and collaboration between front and back of house staff through effective communication, task delegation, and seamless operations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor/manager.

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, or a Bachelor’s/Associate degree with at least 1 year of F&B supervisory experience preferred.

  • Professionally trained in culinary arts with a passion for developing and growing as a chef.

  • Experience managing P&Ls, labor, purchasing, vendor relations, and quality control, with a proven track record of achieving revenue targets.

  • Strong, stable work experience and a desire to support the business both operationally and as a leader.

  • Must possess Food Safety certification and knowledge of local sanitation regulations.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including timely email etiquette.

  • Experienced in training and leading teams, with extensive knowledge of large-scale food preparation and quality food operations.

  • High school diploma or equivalent trade school certification required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to seize, grasp, turn, and hold objects with hands.

  • Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours per shift.

  • Ability to move quickly between different areas of the club.

  • Must be able to lift, carry, or move up to 40 pounds.

  • Occasionally required to kneel, bend, crouch, and climb.

Pay Range

  • $75,000—$80,000 USD (varies based on location and experience)
