Role Description

 

This is a full-time on-site role for a Paraprofessional with the Visually Impaired Program at Hillsborough County Public Schools. The Paraprofessional will be responsible for assisting teachers in classroom activities, providing support to students with diverse needs, and maintaining a positive learning environment. Daily tasks may include working with individual students or small groups, implementing instructional plans, and supporting classroom management.

Qualifications

 

  • Experience working with students in an educational setting
  • Knowledge of classroom support techniques and strategies
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and staff
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting student learning
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or para pro test with pass score
  • Background in education or child development is a plus
