Position Overview
We are seeking a certified Special Education Teacher to deliver online instruction and support for students with special needs. This role focuses on IEP development, compliance, and student success in a virtual environment.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging instruction aligned with students’ IEPs.

Develop compliant IEPs, progress reports, and state-required documentation.

Lead and facilitate annual IEP meetings and collaborate with families and staff.

Adapt K12 lessons and assessments with accommodations and modifications.

Collect data and monitor student progress toward goals.

Support inclusion in general education settings when appropriate.

Maintain gradebooks, records, and academic integrity.

Communicate regularly with students, families, and learning coaches.

Prepare students for standardized assessments.

Travel up to 20% for professional development, student testing, and school events.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.

Current Arkansas Department of Education Special Education Teaching Certification.

Residency in Arkansas.

Ability to pass background check.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience teaching in special education (virtual or brick-and-mortar).

Familiarity with online learning platforms and assistive technology.

Experience supporting students and families in technology use.

Ability to use student data to guide instruction.
Work Schedule & Environment

Full-time, typically 8–4 or 9–5.

Professional home office required (minimal distractions).

100% virtual with occasional travel (up to 20%).
