Position Summary
As a Client Billing Specialist, you will resolve unpaid, denied, and underpaid claims by working with various healthcare payers. You’ll interpret EOBs, manage patient account discrepancies, assist with research billing audits, and serve as a key point of contact for client inquiries related to insurance balances and billing corrections.
Key Responsibilities

Interpret and analyze Explanations of Benefits (EOBs)

Review AR grids, billing protocols, and coverage analysis

Process claim edits and research protocol compliance

Coordinate with Cash Management and Postings teams
-
Review accounts for contract compliance and discrepancies

Manage inbound/outbound client communication
-
Process invoice corrections and generate PDFs
-
Perform full audits of research client accounts
-
Monitor delayed payments and aged AR
-
Submit and track payment adjustments
-
Escalate trends or irregularities to supervisor
Requirements
-
High school diploma or GED required; coding certification or associate degree preferred

Experience with AR, Medicaid, or commercial insurance processes

Customer service and call center experience preferred

Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and medical billing terminology

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office and billing software systems

Highly detail-oriented and organized

Ability to multitask and adapt in a dynamic environment

Reliable, self-motivated, and a strong team player
