Position Summary:

Walmart/VIZIO is seeking a proactive and skilled Specialist Technician – Technology Support to join our Information Technology team. This role is essential to delivering hands-on technical support to employees both locally and across our nationwide offices. You will help deploy and maintain hardware, assist with onboarding new hires, and provide front-line support for a variety of systems and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for Windows, macOS, and Linux-based systems via email, chat, and phone.

  • Participate in new hire orientation meetings and provision hardware (PCs, Macs, Linux) for new employees.

  • Collaborate with Support Services Teams (SSTs) to deliver rotational weekend support.

  • Maintain and support IT-managed office equipment, including video conferencing systems.

  • Assist Infrastructure and Client Services teams with testing and deployment of new hardware, software, and operating systems.

  • Monitor and manage IT inventory and asset levels in the local office.

  • Coordinate with office management for building access and other IT-related logistics.

  • Travel occasionally (voluntary) to other office locations to support national operations.

  • Document issues and resolutions using ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by team leadership.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum of 1 year of IT support experience in a professional setting.

  • Advanced understanding of current Windows and macOS operating systems.

  • Familiarity with Linux systems is a plus.

  • Experience with ticketing systems such as Jira or ServiceNow.

  • Working knowledge of Office 365 Admin Center.

  • Basic skills in Command Prompt, PowerShell, and Terminal.

  • Understanding of Windows/macOS imaging and deployment tools.

  • Knowledge of Active Directory and software installation tools (e.g., Company Portal, ManageEngine).

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

  • Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and strong problem-solving abilities.
