About the Role: Underwriting Support Analyst

As part of our Underwriting Support team, you will play a critical role in supporting underwriters throughout the risk assessment and policy lifecycle. Reporting to a Senior Specialist, Team Leader, or Manager, you’ll manage a variety of pre- and post-bind underwriting processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in a dynamic insurance environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a first point of contact for brokers and support all underwriting administrative functions.

  • Review new and renewal submissions to assess alignment with Line of Business (LOB) risk appetite.

  • Conduct renewal comparisons, identify changes, and flag key differences for underwriting teams.

  • Prepare and issue policies, endorsements, cancellations, and billing instructions.

  • Assist in pricing, loss rating, and preparing quotation and binder packages.

  • Coordinate with internal teams to maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation.

  • Perform quality control checks on premium audits and escalate discrepancies.

  • Create business reports and support performance metrics tracking.

  • Mentor junior team members and assist with onboarding/training.

  • Support the UA Manager in day-to-day regional activities and issue resolution.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance and regulatory policy forms.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in insurance or finance-related fields.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and Outlook.

  • Excellent multitasking and organizational skills; ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

  • A proactive, collaborative mindset with a passion for learning.

  • Ability to provide peer mentorship and support continuous team development.
