About the Role
Join our dedicated hospital-based rehabilitation team as a Speech-Language Pathologist and make a difference in patient care. We are seeking candidates from new graduates to early-career professionals who are passionate about providing top-quality speech and language therapy services. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders, collaborating with healthcare teams, and supporting patient recovery in a hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct evaluations and deliver individualized treatment for patients with mild to moderately complex speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.

Perform swallow studies (MBS and bedside assessments) and develop targeted therapy plans.

Document patient progress, set treatment goals, and provide education to patients, families, and staff.

Participate in team conferences and contribute to department initiatives.

Potentially supervise students or orient allied health professionals upon CFY completion.
Qualifications:

Master’s degree from an ASHA-accredited Speech and Language Pathology program.

Eligible for or holding a Virginia SLP license.
-
CCC-SLP (or Clinical Fellowship Year candidate).

CPR certification.

Experience with neurogenic, motor speech, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders required; trach management and critical care experience preferred.
Schedule: Flexible, including weekends and holidays, based on department needs.
