Job Description – Senior Accountant (Merced County)
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our client’s team in Merced County. This role plays a vital part in ensuring financial accuracy through reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger oversight. Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, proactive, and skilled in financial systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate records

Oversee accruals and intercompany accounting

Analyze general ledger activity and investigate variances

Reconcile trial balance accounts

Generate reports for auditors, tax teams, and regulatory bodies

Assist with special projects and ad hoc tasks
Requirements:

Solid understanding of GAAP and accrual accounting

Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office

Experience with ERP systems like NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion
