About the Role

As a Sr. Clinical Coder, you will provide expert coding support across multicenter clinical trials, collaborating closely with data management, programming, and safety teams. You will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for coding processes, tools, and specifications, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance across all deliverables.

This role places you at the center of clinical development, helping deliver therapies efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead coding activities for large, multicenter clinical studies.

  • Liaise with sponsors on coding conventions, specifications, and coding decisions.

  • Conduct analytical trend analysis for QC and coding consistency.

  • Manage coding QC processes and assist coding management in KPI tracking.

  • Act as SME for coding tools and processes; support dictionary up-versioning, reversion, and auto-coding algorithms.

  • Collaborate with Data Management, Programming, and Safety teams on all coding-related processes.

  • Participate in DB QC, UAT processes, and coding deliverables in the DBL process.

  • Represent coding team at internal and national/international meetings.

  • Support coding resource management, pricing, bidding, and tool development (preferred).

Qualifications & Skills

  • BS/BA in Biological Sciences, Health Care, Clinical Research, or equivalent.

  • Proven lead experience in multicenter clinical studies and coding QC.

  • Extensive knowledge of SDGs, SMQs, dictionaries, browsers, coding tools, and coding processes.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, matrix-structured environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to travel up to 25% as needed.
