About Role

This position is a subject matter expert in front-end technologies and architecture, setting our program’s technical and architectural standards for front-end development. The individual will execute strategic initiatives within large-scale, multi-functional projects, lead the design and implementation of advanced front-end solutions, and provide guidance and mentorship to the front-end engineering team. This role requires expertise in modern front-end frameworks, particularly React and React Native, and an understanding of advanced software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices tailored to front-end development.

The position emphasizes technical leadership without direct people management. It ensures the effective technical direction of front-end developers and fosters a culture of innovation and excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Set architectural and technical direction for front-end development.
  • Led technical implementation of web and mobile applications using React and React Native.
  • Mentor front-end engineers and enforce best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration.
  • Define and enforce coding standards, testing protocols, and documentation practices.
  • Participate in technical reviews and ensure adherence to standards.
  • Act as the primary technical contact for front-end decisions and challenges.
  • Drive innovation in front-end technologies and methodologies.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years in software engineering, with 8+ years in front-end technologies.
  • Proven leadership in large-scale front-end development.

Requirements

Technical Skills:

  • Front-End Expertise: Mastery of React, React Native, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and related libraries. Advanced knowledge of architectural patterns, state management, performance optimization, responsive design, PWAs, and mobile-first development. Proficiency in advanced UI/UX concepts.
  • Development Practices: Expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, version control (e.g., Git), TDD, BDD, and accessibility standards.
  • Architectural Knowledge: Proficiency in scaling front-end architectures, API design, and integration (RESTful, GraphQL) – Mandatory skill

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Proven ability to lead and inspire front-end teams.
  • Experience in technical mentorship and skill development.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and innovative technical solutions.
