Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnership (10%)

Actively participate in cross-functional teams, representing the data science function.

Collaborate with business partners to identify key issues, define objectives, and develop data-driven strategies.

Support project planning and provide analytical leadership on client-facing teams.
Analytical Development & Data Science (50%)

Design and build predictive models using internal and third-party data sources.

Develop machine learning solutions to support business needs using tools such as Python and AWS (Athena, Sagemaker, Glue, Redshift).

Translate business objectives into robust analytical frameworks and methodologies.

Generate reports and insights with actionable recommendations for internal stakeholders.

Maintain and enhance scoring mechanisms for key initiatives (e.g., Next Best Action, Client Engagement, Lifetime Value).

Act as a data steward for essential datasets and ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
Consultation & Communication (30%)

Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders on analytical and data science matters.

Clearly communicate complex concepts and technical results to non-technical audiences.

Mentor and coach junior analysts on best practices in model development and analytics.

Own end-to-end solutions with minimal guidance, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
Professional Development & Administrative (10%)

Engage in continuous learning and contribute to team development efforts.

Stay up to date with the latest in data science tools, techniques, and industry trends.
Required Qualifications

Master’s or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related analytical field.

At least 5 years of hands-on experience in data analysis and statistical modeling.

Proficiency in Python and experience with the AWS data science ecosystem (Sagemaker, Glue, Athena, etc.).

Strong SQL skills and familiarity with data warehousing environments.

Proven ability to solve complex problems and translate data into strategic insights.

Effective communication skills with experience presenting to senior leadership.

Strong organizational and project management skills.

Commitment to ethical standards and a customer-focused mindset.
Preferred Qualifications

Background in financial services or direct-to-consumer business models; asset management experience is a plus.

5+ years developing and deploying statistical models.

2+ years managing projects, programs, or vendor relationships.
Location & Compensation

Location: New York, NY (hybrid work model with in-office presence required on a set schedule)

Salary Range: $139,000 – $167,000 (based on skills, experience, and location)
