The Opportunity

Abbott’s Diabetes Care division is currently seeking a Senior Manager, Human Resources to join our team. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop and maintain trusted, collaborative relationships with senior leaders, managers, and key business stakeholders.

  • Translate business objectives into actionable HR strategies that support both short- and long-term goals across the organization.

  • Champion Abbott’s culture by partnering with leadership to enhance and evolve values, behaviors, and workplace practices.

  • Design and deliver programs that strengthen our culture and reinforce Abbott’s reputation as an employer of choice.

  • Operate autonomously while adhering to all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as corporate policies.

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to managers, proactively identifying HR needs and performance improvement opportunities.

  • Lead change management efforts and communication strategies for organizational initiatives.

  • Advise leadership on complex employee relations issues, ensuring solutions are aligned with business objectives.

  • Collaborate with HR and business leaders on workforce planning efforts, including talent gap analysis and succession strategies.

  • Support organizational change, including restructuring, by working closely with leaders and HRBP peers to drive effectiveness and enable smooth transitions.

  • Foster open communication and collaboration across all levels of the organization.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience as an HR Business Partner.

  • In-depth understanding of core HR functions and disciplines.

  • Proven track record of identifying HR needs and delivering impactful, value-driven solutions.

  • Strong ability to influence organizational culture and drive business outcomes.

  • Advanced skills in change management and organizational development.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

  • Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.

  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace and valuing diversity in thought and experience.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws and HR-related compliance requirements.
