Senior Accountant – Client Revenue Accounting
CWT, a leading digital travel management platform, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Client Revenue Accounting team. You will be crucial in the billing/revenue cycle, responsible for preparing and supporting client settlements (invoices) and reconciliations for your assigned portfolio. Collaborating with Finance Operations leadership, Client Executives, Legal, and Pricing teams, you’ll ensure accurate billing and revenue recognition based on contract terms. You’ll also work with Finance Operations and Client Executives on accounts receivable follow-up to improve collections. This role offers opportunities for process improvement projects related to month-end/year-end settlement, documentation, reporting, and data accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Apply billing/revenue accounting principles to your client portfolio.
- Prepare timely and accurate client invoices according to contract terms.
- Support month-end operational framework for accruals, journal entries, P&L analysis, and unbilled balance sheet reconciliation.
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies initiated by Client Executives or regional Customer Directors.
- Participate in internal/external audits to ensure billing compliance.
- Address client billing inquiries and assist Client Executives with related analysis.
- Contribute to process improvement projects for documentation, reporting, and systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3-5 years of previous accounting experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- General knowledge of GAAP.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Process improvement and change management mindset.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Effective communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience with Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Reporting and Planning, and Oracle Cloud (preferred).
- Organized, customer service-focused, team player, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
