About the Role

Our Retail Mobile team empowers sellers—from grocery and convenience stores to enterprise retailers—with tools that ensure seamless transactions and optimized customer experiences. As a Senior Android Engineer, you’ll lead the architecture and development of critical features for our retail cart-building and checkout systems, delivering reliable, high-performance, and scalable Android solutions.
This role offers the chance to work across functions, mentor engineers, and contribute to technical strategy while impacting millions of daily transactions.
What You’ll Do

Lead architectural design and implementation of Android features for retail checkout, including scale integrations, barcodes, and diverse payment methods.

Understand and solve unique challenges for food-and-beverage retail businesses.

Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers across organizations to deliver scalable, high-quality mobile experiences.

Champion best practices in Android development, ensuring maintainable, performant code.

Provide technical mentorship and foster a culture of learning and innovation.

Identify and drive improvements in Android development processes, tooling, and technical roadmap contributions.
What You’ll Bring

12+ years of Android development experience with deep expertise in Kotlin and/or Java.

Proven success as a technical lead on complex Android projects with cross-team impact.

Strong collaboration skills with experience working across multiple organizations and functions.
