Staff Data Analyst, Product

What You’ll Do:

• Drive Strategic Insights: Convert data into meaningful insights that shape Vercel’s product and business strategies by establishing key metrics, building interactive visualizations, and automating reporting workflows.

• Enhance Operational Efficiency: Develop metrics, self-service tools, and detailed analyses that improve operational processes and support data-driven decision-making throughout the company.

• Spot and Solve Opportunities: Proactively identify areas for improvement such as automating reports, conducting deep-dive analyses on key business challenges, and forming analytical partnerships to unlock growth potential.

• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with product, business, and leadership stakeholders to understand their objectives and translate them into effective data-driven solutions.

• Build Analytics Models: Design and implement analytics datasets using Vercel’s proprietary data to optimize growth, lower costs, and boost the impact of product initiatives.

About You:

• 6+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Product Analyst, Operations Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role.

• Expert-level SQL skills with experience analyzing complex tech industry datasets and crafting advanced queries.

• Solid grounding in applied statistics and proficiency with scripting languages such as Python or R.

• Extensive experience with ELT data modeling (especially dbt) and crafting analytical narratives using BI tools like Hashboard, Looker, or Omni.

• Strong executive communication skills paired with empathy to understand business challenges and develop effective solutions.
