Position Overview
CPS Solutions, LLC is seeking a full-time, non-exempt Staff Pharmacist to join our team at Banner Lassen Medical Center in Susanville, California. In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring accurate medication dispensing, verifying technician-prepared products, maintaining pharmacy security and compliance, and supporting day-to-day pharmacy operations. You’ll also assist with staff training and keep the Pharmacy Director informed of operational activities.

Schedule:

  • Full-time position with weekend and weekday coverage

  • Every other weekend: Saturday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Sunday 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM with on-call following shifts

  • Weekdays: 3 to 4 shifts per week, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, also followed by on-call

Pay Range:
$70–$75 per hour, based on experience

Banner Lassen Medical Center (BLMC) is a 25-bed critical access, not-for-profit hospital located in Susanville, CA, and operated by Banner Health. The facility offers a wide range of services, including 24/7 emergency care, general surgery, ICU, maternal care, cancer services, diagnostic imaging, and laboratory support. As part of one of the largest healthcare systems in the western U.S., BLMC provides excellent resources, financial stability, and a great environment for practicing high-quality pharmacy care. CPS Solutions, LLC manages the hospital’s pharmacy operations.


About the Pharmacy

  • Operating Hours:

    • Monday–Saturday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

    • Sunday: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM

  • After-hours support provided via Remote Order Entry

  • Technologies: Cerner, Pyxis automation, eMAR, and BVM systems


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an ACPE-accredited program

  • Active and unrestricted California Pharmacist license

  • At least 2–3 years of recent hospital pharmacist experience or completion of a pharmacy residency program

  • IV preparation and compounding experience

  • Strong critical thinking and independent decision-making skills

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with pharmacy, hospital, and CPS staff


Hospital Requirements

Candidates must meet hospital immunization and health screening standards, which may include:

  • Negative TB skin test (PPD) within the last 12 months

  • Proof of MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) immunity

  • Varicella (Chickenpox) immunity or vaccination

  • Hepatitis B vaccination or declination

  • Tdap vaccine

  • Physical exam clearance

  • Flu vaccine (required for hires between Oct 1 – Apr 30)

  • COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
