Staff Pharmacist – Walmart

Position Summary
As a Staff Pharmacist at Walmart, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Far from working solely behind the scenes, you’ll be at the forefront—counseling patients, ensuring medication safety and accuracy, and leading your pharmacy team. Your clinical expertise and compassion will help foster strong community relationships and elevate the standard of care we provide.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver safe, effective, and compliant pharmaceutical care, including accurate prescription dispensing and patient counseling.

  • Administer immunizations and other clinical programs in accordance with state regulations and company policies.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to patients, providing health guidance across diverse backgrounds and medical needs.

  • Lead by example in customer service, inventory control, and compliance with state and federal regulations.

  • Use data, tools, and personal interactions to identify community health trends and address local health priorities.

  • Support community outreach efforts, including Wellness Days and health education events.

Qualifications – Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, or equivalent Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination (FPGE) through NABP.

  • Active pharmacy license in the state of practice (must be obtained by job start date).

  • Completion of an ACPE-accredited immunization training program (e.g., APhA or equivalent).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong commitment to patient-centered care and health equity.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume, fast-paced pharmacy environment.

  • Previous leadership or mentoring experience in a pharmacy setting.

  • Passion for community health and outreach.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual salary range: $98,000 – $172,000 (based on a 40-hour work week; prorated for other schedules)

  • Performance-based annual and/or quarterly bonus opportunities
