Position Overview:

Accredo, a specialty pharmacy within Evernorth Health Services (a division of The Cigna Group), is seeking a licensed and experienced Staff Pharmacist to join our high-performing team. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing clinical support to patients with chronic health conditions. As a Staff Pharmacist, you will play a central role in prescription validation, patient consultation, order accuracy, and medication safety.

You must reside in Arizona, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, or Tennessee to be eligible.


Training & Work Schedule:

  • Training Period (Approx. 6–9 months):
    Monday through Friday | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM ET

  • Post-Training Work Schedule:
    Monday through Friday | 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM ET

  • Additional Requirements:

    • On-call rotation approximately one week twice per year

    • Two Saturdays per year required


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical oversight to pharmacy technicians ensuring quality and compliance.

  • Review, interpret, and validate physicians’ prescriptions for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.

  • Contact prescribers or patients to clarify prescription details such as drug strength, dosing instructions, and medication names.

  • Verify controlled substances and resolve prescription discrepancies.

  • Collaborate with prescribers to optimize medication therapies, including generic or preferred drug substitutions.

  • Consult directly with patients on medication usage and potential drug interactions.

  • Support issue resolution regarding order status, delivery issues, and quality assurance.

  • Train and mentor less experienced pharmacists as needed.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by pharmacy leadership.


Qualifications:

Required:

  • Current, active pharmacist license in good standing.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.

  • Proficient in interpreting prescriptions and assessing drug interactions.

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

  • Customer-focused with a dedication to quality service.

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule during high-volume periods.

Technical Requirement:

  • Reliable broadband or fiber optic internet connection (minimum 10Mbps download / 5Mbps upload speed) is required for remote work.


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Hourly Pay Range: $53.00 – $89.00 (based on experience and location)
