Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care including processing and dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently.

  • Counsel patients on medications, health conditions, and wellness options, with a strong emphasis on patient safety and adherence.

  • Administer immunizations and participate in health and wellness programs.

  • Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with state and federal laws and Walmart’s operational standards.

  • Lead by example in providing outstanding customer service and addressing patient needs or concerns.

  • Implement and maintain pharmacy operations in accordance with company policies, healthcare compliance requirements, and industry best practices.

  • Collaborate with healthcare teams and engage in community outreach efforts, including participation in wellness events and patient education.

  • Support inventory control, medication storage and security, and loss prevention practices.

  • Mentor and guide pharmacy team members, fostering a culture of safety, inclusion, and professional development.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), or Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency (FPGE) through NABP.

  • Active pharmacy license in good standing (must be obtained by job start date).

  • Completion of an ACPE-accredited immunization training program (e.g., APhA, pharmacy curriculum, or state-sponsored).


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a retail or community pharmacy environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor pharmacy teams.

  • Familiarity with Walmart’s pharmacy systems or similar high-volume settings.
