Position Overview
Anaconda is seeking a Staff Product Manager, Data Engineering & Analytics to drive the strategy and execution of our internal data infrastructure. This role sits at the intersection of technical execution and product strategy, partnering closely with engineering, data science, and analytics teams to build scalable tools that power decision-making across the organization.
What You’ll Do

Define and execute the roadmap for data platforms, pipelines, and analytics capabilities.

Build self-service data tools for sales, marketing, product, and go-to-market teams.

Lead initiatives for data discovery, governance, and democratization.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Facilitate design of scalable data pipelines, models, and architecture.

Establish and monitor adoption, performance, and satisfaction metrics.

Improve data quality, reliability, and observability across the ecosystem.

Champion best practices and foster a data-driven culture.
What You Need

10+ years of product management experience (3+ years in data platforms, analytics, or infrastructure).

Strong technical background in ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing, and modern data stack.

Proven success working with data engineers and data scientists.

Experience building and scaling internal data platforms/tools.

Knowledge of governance, quality, and self-service analytics principles.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Familiarity with modern data technologies (cloud warehouses, data lakes, orchestration tools, BI platforms).

Strong analytical mindset and ability to use data to drive product decisions.
What Will Make You Stand Out

Advanced degree or technical certifications.

Previous experience as a data engineer, data scientist, or analytics engineer.

Experience with developer tools, Python ecosystem, or open-source projects.

Familiarity with data mesh, data fabric, or modern architecture patterns.

Track record of successful product launches in data/analytics.

Startup or open-source/AI industry experience.

Compensation
-
NYC/SF: $196K – $254.5K base salary.

Other U.S.: $147K – $216.5K base salary.

Plus annual bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits.
