What You’ll Do:
- Lead Payment Product Vision: Define the strategic direction for rider payments at Lyft, including existing and emergent payment methods, to significantly improve rider bookings.
- Unlock Growth & Efficiency: Drive and launch new payment features that directly contribute to increased bookings or reduced payment processing costs.
- Enhance Rider Experience: Continuously improve the customer experience for all existing payment methods on Lyft, such as cards, PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, Cash App, and Google Pay.
- Shape Lyft Cash’s Future: Transform Lyft Cash into the primary store of value for riders, from supporting budgeting to managing promotions and loyalty programs.
- Drive Execution: Create clear, actionable product requirements, effectively prioritize initiatives, track progress, and ensure measurable impact.
- Collaborate Deeply: Partner closely with Engineering, Data Science, Design, Operations, and Finance teams to launch high-quality payment experiences.
- Align the Organization: Clearly communicate priorities and roadmaps to a wide range of stakeholders, from cross-functional teams to senior leadership.
What We’re Looking For:
- 6+ years of product management experience, preferably in payments, fintech, or transactional consumer products.
- Proven experience building and launching “zero-to-one” products – from identifying customer needs to driving go-to-market strategies and scaling.
- Technical fluency: You’re comfortable discussing APIs, data flows, and edge cases with engineers.
- Experience shipping products used at scale, ideally in complex or regulated domains like payments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to build consensus and provide clarity.

Work Location & Salary:
This role operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring team members to work in the office 3 days per week (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays). Hybrid roles also offer the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year.
The expected base pay range for this position in the NYC area is $176,000 – $220,000. Salary ranges are influenced by various factors, including qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
