About the Role: Sterile Pharmacy Technician
Creative Compounding RX is looking for a Certified Sterile Pharmacy Technician with Sterile IV Certification to join our fast-paced and patient-focused pharmacy team. This position involves compounding sterile medications, handling prescription processing, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations.
Key Responsibilities of a Sterile Pharmacy Technician
Prescription Processing & Customer Service
- Accept and review written prescriptions or refill requests, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries and referring medical questions to pharmacists.
- Verify patient information accuracy before dispensing medications.
Compounding & Medication Handling
- Count, mix, and fill prescriptions, including IV medications and compounded drugs.
- Prepare and attach medication labels with proper dosage information.
- Perform inventory audits and assist with medication purchasing to maintain stock levels.
Qualifications for a Sterile Pharmacy Technician
Required Skills & Certifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician Certification.
- Sterile IV Certification (mandatory).
- At least 1 year of experience as a Certified Pharmacy Technician in a hospital, clinic, or closed-door pharmacy setting.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for counting and dispensing medications.
- Proficiency with computers for day-to-day pharmacy tasks.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
- 1+ years of compounding and/or mixing experience (preferred).
Compensation & Benefits
- Schedule: 40 hours per week.
- Location: Arlington, TX 76001 (must be able to commute).
