Role Overview

The Stockroom Clerk is responsible for issuing materials to the production floor, performing inventory transactions, monitoring stock levels, and maintaining accuracy across all stockroom operations. This role is critical in ensuring efficiency, compliance, and smooth material flow in Baxter’s manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Issue materials to the production floor and complete timely system transactions.

  • Follow Baxter protocols for both paper and electronic inventory transactions.

  • Verify incoming quantities and documentation for accuracy.

  • Ensure proper storage of materials to prevent damage.

  • Reconcile physical inventory with the database through cycle counts and verification.

  • Maintain KanBan systems: order, distribute, and track inventory.

  • Support other Materials Management functions as needed.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • 1–3 years of warehouse or technical office experience.

  • Stockroom experience strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory transactions.

  • Ability to identify and differentiate small components using documentation/labels.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.

  • Understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and regulatory guidelines.

  • Positive attitude, strong judgment, initiative, and problem-solving skills.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Ability to sit or stand for most of the workday.

  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity required.

  • Manufacturing environment regulated by FDA and other safety standards.

  • Must follow protective work rules (e.g., static wrist strap, protective smock).

  • Work in temperature and humidity-controlled conditions, often in close proximity to others.
