Position Overview:
We are seeking a Store Manager to lead our South Portland, ME location. This full-time role (Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM) is responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, driving sales, maintaining inventory, and ensuring excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:

Ensure safety and resolve any safety/security issues.

Lead, coach, and support store staff; monitor and evaluate performance.

Drive sales and profitability while maintaining efficiency.

Manage inventory levels and make strategic purchasing decisions.

Analyze sales data, forecast demand, and implement growth strategies.

Address customer concerns and provide excellent service.
-
Coordinate promotions, events, and displays.
-
Stay up to date with market trends and competitor activity.
-
Represent Maine Oxy positively in the community.
Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or equivalent (required).

1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience (preferred).

Knowledge of packaged gas, welding, or safety equipment (preferred).

Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
-
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage a team effectively.

Ability to lift 25–100 lbs as needed.

DOT knowledge is a plus.
