Your Key Responsibilities as a Stores Coordinator

Main Duties of a Stores Coordinator

  • Pick, pack, and prepare components to meet production schedules and Bill of Materials (BOM) requirements.

  • Manage the receipt, storage, and issuing of goods while maintaining accurate inventory records.

  • Verify delivery quality and quantity, reporting any discrepancies to relevant teams.

  • Safely pack goods for dispatch, including handling heavier items as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with delivery documentation procedures.

  • Conduct systematic stock reconciliations and maintain optimal inventory levels.

  • Record all stock movements accurately, including receipts, issues, and adjustments.

  • Keep stores areas clean, organised, and compliant with company safety standards.

  • Collaborate with other departments to support business operations as required.

What You Need to Succeed as a Stores Coordinator

Skills and Qualifications for a Stores Coordinator

  • Experience in a stores-based or production control role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.

  • Familiarity with inventory management systems (MRP/ERP) and stock control procedures.

  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail and multitasking abilities.

  • Current clean driving licence.

  • Capability to lift and move heavy items safely.

  • Willingness to work flexibly to meet operational demands.

  • Teletruk Fork-lift licence (desirable; training available).

  • Experience in defence or other regulated industries (preferred).

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time role based in our warehouse facility.

  • 8.5-hour workdays covering operational hours from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm (including a one-hour lunch break).

  • Occasional overtime during peak periods.
