Exciting Opportunity: Stores Operative at Magellan Aerospace, Wrexham
Magellan Aerospace, Llay Wrexham, is hiring a Stores Operative to join our team on a full-time, permanent contract. This role is based at our Llay site, operating on a 12/7 days-only shift pattern. As a Stores Operative, you will ensure efficient storage, handling, and distribution of goods to support our production team. The role includes stock control, transport coordination, warehousing, and inventory monitoring, all aligned with safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities of the Stores Operative
Stores Operative Duties in Safety, Quality & Delivery

Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and company safety policies

Maintain 6S workplace standards and perform visual inspections
-
Label, pack, and dispatch goods as per SOPs and quality guidelines

Identify and report non-conformance issues
-
Accurately deliver goods to internal and external stakeholders
-
Track and rotate stock to ensure efficient inventory control
Stores Operative Involvement in Cost, People, and Process

Support waste reduction and recycling initiatives
-
Propose improvements to layout and storage systems
-
Conduct stock counts and ensure records match inventory
-
Assist team leaders with training, mentoring, and daily planning
-
Attend SQCDP meetings and complete required e-learning modules
-
Adhere strictly to all stores processes and policies
Required Skills & Experience for the Stores Operative Role

Minimum 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths & English

Strong written and verbal communication
-
Good vision (must pass vision exam)
Desirable for a Successful Stores Operative

Prior experience in a warehouse or stores environment
-
Familiarity with SAP or similar systems
-
Understanding of SOPs and work instructions

Forklift Truck (FLT) experience is a plus
