Core Responsibilities

  • Strategic Support: Assist in executing strategic projects across the club, collaborating with key leaders, subject matter experts, and partners. Collaboration and Communication: Foster a shared approach across various business areas and projects, ensuring seamless communication and cooperation
  • Innovation and Growth Analysis: Support innovation initiatives by conducting research and analysis on new business models, products, or services to promote sustainable growth
  • Process Improvement: Analyse and recommend improvements to existing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
  • Market and Data Analysis: Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, financial modelling, and data analytics to identify trends, assess risks, and discover new business opportunities.
  • Reporting and Insights: Assist in developing and maintaining strategic reporting frameworks for the business across financial and non-financial metrics. Liaise with different departments such as marketing, fan experience, finance, operations, and commercial

What we’re looking for in you

Essential Requirements

Extensive experience in a strategic role

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sports Management, Economics, or related field (MBA or equivalent preferred)

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong financial acumen and ability to create complex business cases
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau)
  • Experience in customer experience analysis and journey mapping
  • Excellent strategic report writing and presentation skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence C-level executives
  • Proven leadership in managing teams and projects in fast-paced environments
  • Proficiency in project management software
  • Adaptability across industries and business models

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience in a strategy role within MBB, Big 4, consulting, or sports industry management
  • Familiarity with sports marketing, sponsorship, and media rights negotiations

Personal Requirements

  • In-office attendance required 4 days per week at the Birmingham office
