Position Summary
As a Structural Welder II–III, you will play a key role in fabricating and welding unitized systems (can lines). Reporting to the Fabrication Team Leader, you will perform advanced welding, fitting, and assembly of structural and carbon steel components to meet specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

Perform FCAW, GMAW, and GMAW-spray welding on structural and carbon steel (3G, 4G, 2F positions).

Follow safety practices and operate equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes.

Read blueprints, lay out, position, and align parts for welding.

Inspect and measure workpieces to ensure compliance with specifications.

Use hand and power tools common to welding trade.

Perform tack-welding, clamping, heating, bending, grinding, and bolting as needed.

Consistently pass non-destructive testing (x-ray, etc.) on FCAW welds.

Maintain regular attendance and comply with safety and housekeeping standards.

Support continuous improvement and promote a positive team environment.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Welding certification or degree from a technical program strongly preferred.

2–5 years of welding experience strongly preferred.

Must meet all Structural Welder I requirements.

Ability to pass Roeslein welding certifications (FCAW 3G vertical & 4G overhead, visual & bend test).

Proficient in FCAW, GMAW, and GMAW-spray welding.

Intermediate blueprint reading skills.

Strong math, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

High energy, motivation, and ability to work flexible hours (including overtime & some Saturdays).

Team-oriented with excellent communication skills.
Work Environment & Physical Demands

Work performed in an uncontrolled atmosphere with exposure to dust, fumes, chemicals, noise, and varying temperatures.

May involve domestic or international jobsite travel (living accommodations abroad may vary).

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.

Stand/walk up to 90% of the time; sit up to 10%.

Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and reaching required.
