Core Duties of a Student Placement Facilitator
Student Placement Facilitator Responsibilities – Placement Management

Serve as the primary link between the Corporate Education Team, universities, and placement sites.

Manage all placement logistics including timetables, block dates, allocations, and digital records.

Ensure full compliance with policies, safeguarding standards, and NHS placement expectations.

Maintain active communication with all stakeholders regarding timelines and placement structure.
Student Placement Facilitator Responsibilities – Communication & Support

Build and maintain collaborative relationships across CHG departments.

Act as the first point of contact for placement-related concerns from students and staff.

Monitor learner attendance and feedback to improve placement quality and engagement.

Support learners with day-to-day placement queries, guidance, and emotional wellbeing.
Skills & Qualifications Needed for Student Placement Facilitator Role
To qualify as a Student Placement Facilitator, you should possess:

Current NMC registration

A Practice Assessor or Mentorship Qualification

Evidence of continuous professional development

Functional skills level 2 in English and Maths (or equivalent GCSEs)

Experience in clinical education, placements, or workforce planning (preferred)
