Role Summary
The Governors are seeking a friendly, organised, and committed Student Services Receptionist to be the first point of contact for students, staff, parents, and visitors. You will play a key role in creating a welcoming environment while managing front desk responsibilities, general admin support, attendance tracking, first aid, and day-to-day student services.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Student Reception

Greet and assist students, parents, and visitors in person

Manage calls, book appointments, direct queries to appropriate departments

Update student records and systems (e.g., SIMS, CPOMS, ClassCharts)

Send parent communications via SIMS InTouch
-
Administer First Aid and manage student welfare issues
-
Oversee lost property, student toilets, and late arrivals log
Attendance and Administration
-
Contact parents for unexplained absences and record by 09:15

Input and maintain accurate attendance data
-
Create reports for late arrivals and behaviour
-
Assist with school trip paperwork, career events, and open evenings
Office & Reprographics Support

Perform photocopying, laminating, scanning, archiving, and shredding

Maintain reprographics machines and supplies
-
Help administer uniform procedures and manage stock
Additional Responsibilities

Support school events such as Open Evening and Induction Day

Attend relevant training and take responsibility for ongoing CPD
-
Comply with all safeguarding, health and safety, and GDPR standards

Take on other duties as directed by the Headteacher or Line Manager
