Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and patient Paraprofessional to work in classrooms with individuals or small groups of students who have physical, emotional, or learning disabilities. The role supports teachers in delivering daily education programs while assisting with personal care, behavior management, and classroom activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist students with subject matter individually or in small groups.

Support students with personal care needs (dressing, washing, feeding, toileting).

Maintain student safety in classrooms and on the playground.

Observe and report on student skills and behavior; maintain required data.

Learn and apply behavior management techniques.

Perform clerical and instructional tasks as assigned.

Perform other duties as required to support classroom and student success.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Paraprofessional Certificate and High School Diploma/GED.

Knowledge of modern educational practices and procedures.

Ability to work sensitively and effectively with children with special needs.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Ability to follow instructions and adhere to classroom procedures.

Capacity to manage challenging behaviors and restrain outbursts if necessary.

Valid driver’s license required.

Willingness to attend required training sessions.
