Position Overview

The Onboarding Supervisor plays a vital role in overseeing departmental operations, ensuring process accuracy, and supervising the Talent Acquisition Onboarding Specialist team. This position provides project support to Talent Acquisition Managers and the Senior Director of Talent Acquisition, while exemplifying our Mission, Vision, and Values.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Lead, mentor, and oversee a team of onboarding specialists to ensure effective integration of new hires.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, discuss challenges, and share best practices.
  • Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Onboarding Program Management

  • Develop and refine onboarding programs to align with company culture and goals.
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure materials remain updated and relevant.
  • Track and analyze key onboarding metrics to enhance employee experience and retention.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
  • Oversee new hire orientation sessions in partnership with the Organizational Effectiveness Team.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for vendors, ensuring quality and compliance.

Qualifications

Education

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources (preferred).
  • Four (4) years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.

Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in human resources or recruitment.
  • 2+ years of experience as a New Hire Onboarding Specialist.
  • Preferred: 2+ years of leadership experience in a supervisory role.

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Workday experience preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • May involve standing, walking, reaching, stooping, and occasional lifting (up to 100 lbs.).
  • Requires visual acuity for data analysis, computer work, and detailed documentation.
