About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Supervisor of Supply Chain Services to lead and coordinate day-to-day operations of our warehousing, shipping, receiving, and material handling functions. In this hands-on leadership role, you will play a critical part in ensuring timely, efficient, and accurate distribution of medical supplies and equipment across the organization.

You will be responsible for supervising material movement across departments, maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting clinical teams with their supply needs, and improving logistics processes through proactive decision-making and strategic oversight. A strong focus on customer service, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset are essential to success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

  • Communicate effectively with internal customers to address concerns and resolve supply chain issues.

  • Perform routine quality and service rounds to ensure customer satisfaction across units.

  • Exhibit a strong commitment to service excellence by promoting flexibility, initiative, and a problem-solving attitude.

  • Greet and interact with staff and stakeholders in a professional, helpful manner.

Supervision & Team Management

  • Lead and develop a team responsible for warehouse, inventory, and distribution operations.

  • Plan, assign, and oversee work schedules, staffing levels, and training for departmental staff.

  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, safety protocols, and employment regulations.

  • Monitor staff performance and provide guidance and feedback to promote a high-performing culture.

Inventory, Logistics & Materials Management

  • Oversee inventory workflows, throughput, and process improvements to meet organizational needs.

  • Analyze inventory reports to identify trends, shortages, or overstocking, and recommend action plans.

  • Maintain a perpetual inventory system and establish proper reorder levels to ensure supply continuity.

  • Supervise annual and routine cycle counts, stock rotations, and physical inventory audits.

  • Lead the recall and removal process for defective or expired supplies.

  • Manage requests for supply and equipment distribution to departments.

  • Ensure capital assets are tagged and tracked in compliance with policy.

  • Audit materials transactions to ensure proper management and documentation of hospital assets.

  • Assist clinical teams in resolving supply shortages without impacting patient care.

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Participate in organization-wide performance improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure departmental operations align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Recommend and implement policies and procedures that support inventory and asset control across all locations.

Other Duties

  • Lead or participate in assigned projects.

  • Represent the department in hospital and system-level meetings.

  • Support supply chain strategy execution in collaboration with leadership.


Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of 6 years of related experience in supply chain, logistics, or materials management
    (Bachelor’s degree may substitute for 4 years of experience)

Preferred:

  • Healthcare or hospital supply chain experience

  • Supervisory experience in warehouse, distribution, or materials handling

  • Strong understanding of inventory control systems and supply chain best practices

  • Familiarity with product recalls, regulatory compliance, and audit processes
