About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership (NWSSP) at our Newport warehouse. We are seeking a proactive and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to support the shift manager in the efficient daily operations of our Warehouse Management System (WMS), including goods-in/goods-out processes, stock control, and staff supervision.

This role will be pivotal in supporting the implementation of the annual flu programme and related logistics workstreams, working in collaboration with Stores Management, Pharmacy, and Transport & Logistics teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Shift Manager in the smooth and efficient operation of the WMS

  • Supervise daily warehouse activities, ensuring adherence to operational policies

  • Conduct physical stock counts and cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory levels

  • Support order processing and perform quality checks to ensure readiness for distribution

  • Analyse monthly store movement and stock adjustment reports to maintain correct stock levels and minimise waste

  • Maintain sufficient stock to meet customer needs while reducing obsolescence

  • Provide supervisory cover and operational support across the team as required

  • Uphold a high standard of health & safety within the warehouse environment

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a similar Warehouse or Customer Service role

  • Proven understanding of warehouse operations and stock management

  • Strong knowledge of health & safety standards in a warehouse environment

  • Effective organisational, communication, and team supervision skills

Desirable:

  • Welsh language skills (Welsh and/or English speakers equally welcome)
